Ireland’s economy once the pride of the country, is now Ireland’s major downfall,

  1. Bertie Ahern dancing to the tune of votes, every time the public sector wanted a pay rise it was given.
  2. High wages, based on unsustainable growth, remember bench marking
  3. Over reliance on construction, it was said at the height of the boom 1 in 4 jobs was reliant on construction.
  4. Everybody is rich attitude, an arrogance developed in Ireland, that there was no limit to growth NCB 2025 outlook of 5% growth for 20 years.
  5. Greed, everybody has a self internet, the unions, teachesrs, nurses who are some of the highest paid in the world.

So there you go, the main culprit is still greed, the unions are now holding the country hostage ( kind of like tiger kidnapping everybody’s future, what do they care anyway, they only look out for their members, not the future people that will be running the country). This could be considered treason in some countries, that’s my 2 cents.
